Free government laptop (refurbished)

There's no Medicaid laptop program, and Lifeline doesn't fund computers. The Affordable Connectivity Program's one-time device discount ended in 2024. Today, Medicaid's role is to help you qualify for Lifeline service. Combo Wireless then includes a free refurbished laptop in several combos for eligible customers who enroll.

Keeping on top of Medicaid with a laptop

A laptop makes long online tasks easier, especially the ones connected to your health coverage:

Missing a Medicaid renewal can end your coverage, and with it the program you used to qualify for Lifeline. A laptop with a full keyboard makes it easier to respond to notices and upload documents on time.
